Nebraska State Law requires that beginning April 1, 2002 all propane cylinders with a 4-40 lb capacity must be equipped with an Overfill Protection Device. (OPD) This includes cylinders used for grilling and camping. This OPD valve is a safety device which prevents the overfilling of the cylinder. Non-OPD cylinders cannot be filled after April 1st. Contact us for retrofits or new cylinders.
